In the introduction he's a colonel
In the 'Commanders' box his rank is not mentioned at all
In the picture caption he's a general, (thus out-ranking a Major-General, see below)
In the 'battle' section, para 6, he's promoted to Major-General
I think there is a slight case of inconsistency here - I'd fix it myself but the only reference I have doesn't even mention this battle!
In the Casualties box, the statistic for British casualties is always modified to a ridiculous number. It is often the cause of "Edit Wars" here.
