http://www.civilwarbuff.org/st_francis.html has a rather in depth account of the battle if someone is bored they could use that link to update this article. bakuzjw (aka 578) 16:30, 14 Mar 2005 (UTC)

The pertinent pages are now accessible from the link at http://www.civilwarbuff.org/Places/Clay/Index.htm . The account there confirms my impression that the site of the battle should correctly be described as Clay County, Arkansas, and Dunklin County, Missouri, since the St. Francis River divides them and many of the shots and all or most of the casualties occurred on the Missouri side. I've edited the article accordingly, but it could probably use more editing. Wbkelley ( talk) 06:15, 1 January 2010 (UTC) reply
