The recitation of Dr. Voight's educational history does not belong in the Intro.
"After completing a five-year intensive dual-degree program at the University of Notre Dame, he became a teaching assistant there while pursuing his master's degree. He then studied at Cornell University for a year before transferring to Columbia University..."
The intro should explain immediately why Dr. Voight is noteworthy, which obviously he is.
I disagree with the selection of this as a Featured Article, based solely on the weakness of the Introduction. 2601:58B:200:3DEB:500E:CD4B:DE74:4E2B ( talk) 00:12, 21 March 2018 (UTC)

I think the article would be better if the second and third sentences were deleted, perhaps replaced with simply "After earning his PhD at Columbia, Voight worked as a professor of geology..." We don't need all the details of his education before getting to reasons for which he is notable. Also the childhood photo of him in the info box makes the article seem ridiculous. Maybe it could be moved to the Personal life and education section. Just because it is the only photo we have, we don't have include it in the info box. Suppose all we had was a baby picture? Also, are we sure the high school yearbook from which this photo was taken did not include a copyright notice?-- agr ( talk) 17:05, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
