Merger

I think the destination article should Balize (tug) , because the USS Bignonia is a lot shorter, and is unlikely to be expanded. Please consider this. User:GreatLakesShips ( talk) 22:45, 19 January 2018 (UTC) reply

Merged articles

I've merged the article USS Bignonia with this one (left tag on just in case I did it wrong)

Merge with USS Bignonia (1863) ?

We've got two articles on the same vessel. A merge seems obvious, but what should the destination article be named? Andy Dingley ( talk) 18:17, 19 January 2018 (UTC) reply

Engines?

For an 1863 vessel, a steeple engine seems more likely than a steeple compound engine. Andy Dingley ( talk) 18:17, 19 January 2018 (UTC) reply

Original naming?

I suspect this was Mary Grandy, rather than Grandy Mary. [1] Andy Dingley ( talk) 18:19, 19 January 2018 (UTC) reply

You were right, it was Mary Grandy. Thanks for pointing it out. User:GreatLakesShips ( talk) 12:8, 20 January 2018 (UTC)
