The fact that he killed over one million soldiers seems absolutely unbelievable. I'm not quite sure this article is at all true, but I could be completely wrong. CaydenSelwyn 04:22, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Count the numbers in Shiji. Rczgpvh ( talk) 17:18, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
IN Shiji, the sum of the numbers is 0.89 million. But there should be a lot more, because many battles(61+) recorded come without number of soldiers killed. In China, it is usually believed that much more than a million were killed. However, I don't know where is "1,650,000" from, this number should be a imagine. 取名真烦 ( talk) 16:11, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
This is recorded in Shiji, which is the most reliable reference. Before the suicide, he asked to him self that "我何罪於天而至此哉?”(What have I done wrong to suffer this?)After a while, he answered himself “我固當死。長平之戰,趙卒降者數十萬人,我詐而盡阬之,是足以死。"(I truly should die. In the Battle of Changping, I cheated and killed hundreds of thousands of surrenderd solders, that is the reason to die.)And then he commited suicide by cutting his own throat. 取名真烦 ( talk) 18:27, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
The Cambridge History of Ancient China spells his name Bo Qi. Can someone explain why? Benjamin Trovato ( talk) 02:01, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
