While it's technically true that William Baffin made five voyages to "the Arctic" in the 1610s, the last three of those were as the pilot of commercial whaling expeditions to Spitzbergen and had absolutely nothing to do with exploration or the area of this bay. I'm really surprised there's no explanation on the page of why this is considered a bay. It certainly isn't what the layman would think of as a bay. 108.171.128.182 ( talk) 13:19, 10 September 2019 (UTC)
Baffin Bay is a marginal Sea from the Atlantic Ocean and not from the Arctic one. The reasons are:
