It would be great if someone could add some of these points about Avie to the article when they have time... [1] [2]. Paul C/ T + 03:25, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
Just establishing something questioned by some users: Avie Tevanian is of Armenian descent, even though Tevanian might also be an Iranian name: http://www.xent.com/spring97/0355.html BeteNoir 02:13, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
The user BeteNoir has vandalized my user page as well as several related articles on Wikipedia. For the last time, there are no references anywhere on Mr. Tevanian's ethnic background. You will be reported to a moderator if this continues to these articles or to my User Page. Mehrshad123 22:41, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
I am truly sorry if you are offended and angered by the edit, however you cannot simply declare someone to be Armenian because you feel that their name sounds Armenian. Regarding your false accusation and personal attack on me saying that I "declared Mr. Tevanian as an Iranian American", this accusation is completely bogas and disgusting display of hate. I had simply removed the "Armenian" reference because there is no source in any biography on Mr. Tevanian either rumored or otherwise. Indeed there are absolutely no references to Mr. Tevanian's ethnicity anywhere. Regarding my request for adminship, that is none of your business and it has nothing to do with your issues with me. Again I am sorry that you are so angered and hateful.
BeteNoir: Please stop the personal attacks immediately or you will be blocked. This is your third warning.

The Armenian source you added was based on this Wikipedia article. Can you not see the problem here?
Also, Mr. Tevanian never lived in "Maine" as that is what the focus of the reference you provided was.
The most likely story is that Mr. Tevanian is of dual ethnicity. Tevanian was my boss for 4 years and in that time he never identified himself to me or anyone else as Armenian. Mehrshad123 20:26, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
I haven't seen any evidence that the Armenian Association of Maine article was based on Wikipedia content. It is described on that site as original research by Anthony Mezoian. Of course, we have a No Original Research policy here at Wikipedia, so nothing Avadis Tevanian told you, or failed to tell you, can be used as a foundation for any of your edits. And perhaps he grew up in Maine, yet that fact also failed to arise during your business interactions. Bete Noir 22:39, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
The article states the following: "Tevanian retired from Apple on March 31, 2006." And in the very next sentence, it says he joined the board of another technology company. That's not really retiring, it's just changing jobs. I followed the link given as a reference, and it says he left the firm to "pursue other interests." I'm going to change the word "retire" to "left". Jhayman 16:54, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
