So maybe we should wait at least until they update it, and we see evidence of others using the new name.

Oppose. No maybe about it, until we have evidence that the new name is in common use we stick with the existing name.

Move to
Avante (Brazil) or
Avante (political party). First of all, the current name is junk - it is a translation to English of the Brazilian name, that is found in no known reliable source. As such, we should be using the Portuguese name. Secondly, the name has changed, and there is no evidence that any reliable sources are still using the old one.
A Google news search on the old name shows only results announcing the name change. —
