Austrey, North West → Mosinki – Bold move was reversed with no objection given. Name was changed in 2007. Very little is written about this tiny town but all official and academic sources use the new name.
Oppose. The name used for this place on internet sites is Austrey. The only reference found to the place being called Mosinki said that it was previously called Austrey. So clearly Mosinki is not the common name.
There are no relevant search results on Google News (see below), but ordinary Google search and Google maps show it as Austrey, and do not show it as Mosinki. So from a purely practical point of view, Austrey is useful to readers. The only evidence that the name has changed is a book published in 2014.
There are some older references to Austrey found from a Google Books search, for example The South African Farmer's Advocate and Home Magazine (1931) mentions the "Austrey herd", which might be a reference to Austrey, though it might be a reference to a farm named Austrey in another place.
