I've just seen a (contemporaneous) headline that Mike Hailwood participated in the above race in May, prior to his comeback at the Isle of Man TT in late May/early June. Unfortunately the text is too indistinct but I can decipher a Yamaha 750, and podium of Hideo Kanaya (winner), Warren Willing and Murray Sayle. A few links mentioning Kanaya's win in 1978 at Bathurst can be googled.-- Rocknrollmancer ( talk) 20:09, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
