Personally, I think that "events, births, deaths" is a better order to put these things in than "births, deaths, events," and in the past I have always changed these pages to that order whenever I edit one. When I go to a date page, I believe that the most significant thing is what happened on that day or year, not who was born then; people who were born then generally aren't going to become significant until decades later. Why was the 1995 entry about Netscape going public reverted? Boris Alexeev
Your examples are not reasons: they are relevant to the issue of whether theose should be included but are not the least bit relevant to the Netscape entry: inclusion of one says nothing about exclusion of another. -- Calton | Talk 02:19, July 16, 2005 (UTC)
And including some Thomas Friedman puffery doesn't help, either. -- Calton | Talk 02:26, July 16, 2005 (UTC)
Please justify your decision that Netscape's IPO on August 9, 1995 is non-notable. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 18.53.7.119 ( talk) 05:03, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
Is there a reference for the liquidity crisis starting on this day in particular. The various linked pages just mention "Summer" or "August 2007" as the start, not identifying any particular day. Zeimusu | Talk page 15:13, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
I was wondering the same thing. Rlbarton ( talk) 17:35, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
I think we should. I almost did it this morning. Rlbarton ( talk) 22:48, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
I just came across an entry in a Page a Day calendar that refers to Book Lover's Day as being on Aug 10, but most references online say Aug 9. Any one want to look into it and possibly add it here?? Thanks! WesT ( talk) 17:02, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
Citations are not enough. It needs a Wiki page, as per DOY criteria for inclusion here. -- Richardson mcphillips ( talk) 12:26, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
