I removed a large block of text that was copy/pasted from http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/autoexpressnews/243277/mini_r8_is_raring_to_go.html. The content can be added back if it is re-written instead of copy/pasted (I'll do this if I get some free time soon). In addition, the correct torque figure should be used, see: http://blogs.edmunds.com/greencaradvisor/2009/12/audi-e-tron-torque-figures-reexamined-hows-5015-lb-ft-sound.html. swa q 21:54, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
There were two e-tron concepts produced by audi. The first one was based on the R8, and it is featured in the photo in this article. The second e-tron concept was based on the smaller chassis first scene in the VW Concept Bluesport. This autoblog article features the correct concept car for reference: http://www.autoblog.com/2010/06/18/report-audi-r4-to-launch-in-2013-slotted-below-the-tt/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.127.64.48 ( talk • contribs) 04:37, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
AFAIK, the "Audi R4" is (so far) entirely speculative; there have been no official announcements of an R4 production model. In fact, recent press speculation has referred to an "R5" model instead. [1] Hence this article contravenes the WP:CAR guideline on future models. Also, the "Quattro concept" concept car is not closely related to the e-tron concepts, being based on the RS5, and hence doesn't belong here. I think this article should be retitled and focus on the e-tron concept cars only. Letdorf ( talk) 11:23, 4 October 2010 (UTC).

I think the article about the Audi R8 etron should be merged into this article. There is no mention of the R8 e-tron 2.0 that was introduced in 2015. Mariusoei ( talk) 19:03, 11 July 2016 (UTC)

Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Audi e-tron (Edit1).jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on October 17, 2017. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2017-10-17. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. — Chris Woodrich ( talk) 01:50, 4 October 2017 (UTC)
I propose to combine the articles into one. Audi e-tron and Audi hybride vehicles. -- Anton V. ( talk) 17:26, 16 April 2018 (UTC)
I am opening this topic again. Audi will use the e-tron name for their electric cars, with four already confirmed (e-tron SUV, e-tron Sportback, e-tron GT and a compact electric SUV), shouldn't the concepts be moved to the concept article as they have nothing to do with the production models. Also this will make the article cleaner and easier to read, and be a family article about the e-tron production cars like BMW i and Mercedes-Benz EQ. Audi have planned 12 EVs and they will be standalone models rather than electric versions of existing cars. I am trying to clean up this page, but just want your thoughts. I think the Audi e-tron production cars and Audi e-tron concepts should be two different articles but the e-tron and hybrid vehicles can be merged and the information updated and cleaned up would be a good idea. Cbenyola ( talk) 01:38, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
Three sources with tons of information to update this page on the new Audi e-tron. Current e-tron pictures and concepts and future Audi plans regarding e-tron models. https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1119084_audi-to-expand-plug-in-hybrid-range-alongside-e-tron-electric https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a25412202/2019-audi-e-tron-suv-driven/ https://www.audiusa.com/models/audi-e-tron-gt Three creditable sources of information for the page to soon be updated. I would like to update the information on this page in a couple ways. The first way being to update the pictures to reflect Audi's current e-tron model and concepts( Audi e-tron, Audi e-tron GT concept and Audi PB18 concept). The next way is to update the information and specs about the current SUV Audi e-tron, Audi's first fully electric car available for sale now. The last way is to update Audi's plans for future models and their goal for electric vehicles. I have three sources that I previously stated on this talk page that I will pull information from. Audi e-tron (brand) → Audi e-tron – The article Audi e-tron is currently redirected to the Audi e-tron (brand) article. I think the "Audi e-tron" name will refer to the family electric cars since the Audi e-tron vehicle has renamed it to Audi Q8 e-tron. Should we revert it back?
