As far as I know, most asphalt volcanoes consist of salt (e.g. the campeche knolls). Only those off the coast of Santa Barbara consist mostly of asphalt. So I think the sentence "they are made entirely of asphalt" is a bit too undifferentiated. As I am no native speaker, I won't edit the article myself.
