Sardy Field is Colorado's third largest airport.-- Surely this is a typo, right? Maybe it's Aspen's third largest employer?? Mattbucher 18:30, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
How can you guys make a page on Aspen Colorado without serious reference of what makes it such a unique place: how incredibly rich the population (especially touring population) is? It should really be mentioned that Aspen has become synonoymous with excessive wealth and egoism in this country, as shown in such films as Dumb and Dumber, and by the number of people like Kenneth Lay and Abramoff (I think) who've had houses there. Also, The Aspen Institute, Aspen Music Festival, and Aspen Film Festival should definitely be mentioned. Also, it could be mentioned that the world's most expensive house is there, I think (I bet the top five), some behemoth for which the land itself cost $125 million I think. At any rate, in an attempt at objectivity, I suppose, the wealth issue here seems to have been completely ignored.
I just want to discuss about few links that I want to add to this page and think that they can be helpful. Please let me know your thoughts. I really donot want to be aggressive and insert it and get it removed by somebody.Rather I would like to discuss and insert them so that they are added as enhancements to the page. Here are the links:-

I think this section needs to be updated because due to the recent recession, the real-estate market has fallen dramatically. The Juan And Only Mac ( talk) 04:25, 19 October 2011 (UTC)
If I'm to believe the map in the infobox, Aspen somewhere near Durango. Now we all know that's not true. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JimmySand9 ( talk • contribs) 23:06, 7 November 2014 (UTC)
Add a notable people section to this article. There is tons of notable people in Aspen including Lynda Rae Resnick and Stewart A. who own the company POM Wonderful which is POM, the compmnay that makes pomegranite juice and Wonderfull Pistachios which are made grown in California and availible for purchase worldwide. Also Mariah Carey and her husban Nick Canon own a house in Aspen and visit/live in Aspen often. Here are some link with info on who own houses and currently spen most there time in Aspen: http://www.aspen-snowmass-realestate.com/what-stars/ http://www.aspensojourner.com/Aspen-Sojourner/Midwinter-Spring-2014/Star-Struck/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Greshthegreat ( talk • contribs) 19:13, 28 December 2014 (UTC)
The individual people may be notable on their own merits, but that does not justify creating a long meandering directory of the wealthy and famous residents of Aspen as per WP:DIR. If you look at the wiki markup of the article, you can see that at one time there was a directory of 50 or so famous people listed. I suppose someone could make a cat for "residents of Aspen" but it would be very difficult to keep updated, sourced and accurate because many of these people have second, third or fourth homes there and sell them off all the time. - CompliantDrone ( talk) 02:52, 17 April 2017 (UTC)

@ Richardmouser: You recently added this photo of the "Ski Run from the 2017 World Cup". Was that the World Cup held at Snowmass (ski area)? Thank you. Magnolia677 ( talk) 23:06, 10 February 2021 (UTC) Hi Magnolia677, you are correct! However, the photo was taken from the town of Aspen. That's why I put the photo on the Aspen, Colorado page, because the ski run is visible from the town. I believe that specific mountain is Buttermilk Mountain at Aspen Snowmass Ski Resort. - Richard
