Interesting how little is said

CAS was also home to US CENTCOM until 2009, when it relocated to Al Uedid AFB. Army Materiel Command has substantial assets beyond prepositioned stock. Strykers receive depot level repair at CAS. US SOCCENT was located at CAS until 2009. Troops take R&R from the war at CAS. Yet, the installation's article is a bare stub. I'd edit in more and source it, but time constraints make it impossible. Wrong name

There is no such place as "As Sayliyah Army Base." There is a place called "Camp As Sayliyah," or "CAS." CsikosLo ( talk) 16:09, 13 December 2016 (UTC) reply

As Sayliyah Army Base Camp As Sayliyah – Actual name of facility see https://www.usarcent.army.mil/About/Units/ASGQatar/ A search using the proper name provides 127,000 results while a search using the current title provides only 1,170, most resulting from a match on the addition of 'army base' to 'Camp As Sayliyah.' Note that other facilities named 'camp' have that in the title - see /info/en/?search=Camp_Humphreys . 75.142.67.103 ( talk) 00:41, 13 January 2020 (UTC) reply
