As ever, the data tables could do with the addition of the "scope=col" field to improve accessibility per MOS:DTT

"he took part in the 221.85 kilometers (137.85 miles)" - the convert template is required for the distance of the men's road race and the adj=on field is needed in this instance
"The gold emdal was won" - typo; should be medal

"Faro took part in the Men's under 76 kg competition" - decapitalize Men's
"recording a mark for this phase of the competition of 112.5 kg.a" - remove the "a" after the period
"and failed at 142.5 kg in his third and final attempt;" - try
"the silver medal was won by" - taken to avoid close reptition
