I have changed 'he changed his name to his mother's maiden name in 1914' to 'he changed his name to his paternal grandmother's name...' - his mother's maiden name was Rebecca Mocatta. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.26.206.237 ( talk) 17:00, 21 September 2005 (UTC)
Recently the file File:Arthur David Waley; (Giles) Lytton Strachey; (Helen) Hope Mirrlees; Georges Cattaui by Lady Ottoline Morrell.jpg (right) was uploaded and it appears to be relevant to this article and not currently used by it. If you're interested and think it would be a useful addition, please feel free to include it. I'm not sure which of the people he is, however - if I did I could create a cropped version of him. Update: Another image including Waley. This one's labelled so I'm pretty sure he's the guy on the left, which also makes him the sitting man in the picture above. Am I right? Dcoetzee 04:57, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

The page read:
This has Arthur Waley living in two places at once. If he did have two homes, it should be noted. Otherwise, this should be assumed to be an inconsistency, to be re-introduced to the page once rectified. Bamkin ( talk) 12:01, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
I hope that the rephrasing meets the objections raised. I suggest this edit after reading WP:NPOV. Under the section "words to watch, the policy says to avoid the word "claim" since it is "an expression of doubt." The policy directs us to "achieve the Neutral Point of View" by giving "information about the significant opinions that have been expressed about the subjects ... attributed ... to particular sources..." Since the opinion is sourced, not in the voice of Wikipedia, and reflects the general evaluation of Waley's work and place, it should be acceptable. ch ( talk) 01:02, 1 February 2016 (UTC)
