Requested move
The following discussion is an archived discussion of a
requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a

The result of the move request was: No consensus to move. With one oppose vote, and just the nominator as support, I see no consensus so the page remains where it is. Has received a full relisting as well, so there is no ongoing debate. (

OPPOSE on the grounds of conciseness and precision: There is no necessity for the middle name to disambiguate the subject of this article. Also on common usage: using
Trove to search Australian newspapers we find in FAMILY NOTICES 6 instances of his full name and 6 of the shorter form; but the former relate to one event only - his marriage. In ARTICLES in the decades 1910–1919 and 1920–1929 the short form predominates by a factor of about 15:1 and in 1930–1939 about 4:1. After his knighthood he was almost invariably referred to as Sir Arthur Cudmore.
