Could someone please add something to explain what z* means? Is it supposed to refer to the complex conjugate? If that's the case, then we're using 2 different ways of referring to the same concept in a single article. Gokul 07:42, Aug 28, 2004 (UTC)

I have changed z* back to z̅ on account of the problems discussed here in this talk page.
