Any consensus on what the thing was actually called? All three are used in the article.

The title of the article is Anglo-Russian Entente, so let's go with that. We can explain that this French word means agreement, convention etc.

Actually, the name of the agreement was "Convention between the United Kingdom and Russia relating to Persia, Afghanistan, and Thibet". What we have attached to the article is just the Persian agreement, despite the claim of "Full text" with the link. The good news is that I have been able to source a copy of the full agreement, it only covers several pages. The bad news is that it is all in French, and I have not been able to find an English version. The "Persian agreement" that we have appears to be a copy of the "revised final draft" of the Persian agreement, which was written in both English and French and is also probably the reason it is available on the web. I am about to revert some of my recent edits on this article shortly, and include a copy of the full agreement. Perhaps someone with some technology skills can convert the format and put it through a language translator into English, if that is at all possible. Regards, William Harris |
