This article should not be merged with the one on electrical devices because many analog devices are not electrical. Soler97 ( talk) 06:53, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
I've removed clocks and watches from the list. In clockwork clocks, the escapement advances the pointer in discrete steps, usually of one second or a sub-multiple. Analogue is not a synonym for old-fashioned as some people seem to think. Nor is digital a synonym for binary. Spinning Spark 17:59, 15 August 2021 (UTC)
I was editing a page that defined itself as an "analog medium" and it pointed here, which did nothing much with the notion of media as opposed to device.
I tried to hastily make a repair on the way by, but maybe I only made it worse.
In some ways, this page strikes me as a make-work project, because I'm not sure "analog device" is established language for any concrete set of things.
Eh, so for just about any proposed reform, you can sign me up as a "yes" vote. — MaxEnt 21:37, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
