Wire wheels:
Wire wheels#On motorcycles says only main article:
Motorcycle construction#Wheels, but that is not a main article, it is a subsection.
Bicycle wheel is a better article, but none of these 3 actually explains how spokes support the wheel pre-stressed w/compression.
Hi, I just updated the page. I work for TAM Communications, which publishes AIM, RB, and AIR. Did you need anything else as a reference?

Gentlemen: My name is Gerard Rorik, south Netherlands. I was member of the forum CAIMAG ,,classic American iron & Harley forum " some ten years ago, and had many talks and discussions about Harleys and technical matters. Also I introduced a sub forum for trikes and sidecars. A friend of mine was ,,Sarge" Gerry Lions, and I enjoyed talks with Big Incher, Paps, Rubone, and Terry and others. And now the ten dollar question: Where is that nice forum gone?? Is there an archive or replacement for it? Many thanks in advance and have a safe ride next summertime! Gerard.
