This article has gone from being encyclopaedic to containing a large amount of trivia, and a good deal of false information.

  • For example, the Earl of Stamford may well have owned Stamford House; it certainly must have been named after him, but he certainly did not live there: the family home locally was (indeed is) Enville Hall.
  • The list of pubs is trivial and should be removed
