The characters image of Amadeus Arkham is based on Sequential Illustrator Ron Tiner, also a published and renowned Graphic Novellist, who inspired McKean and Morrison in their writing and illustrating of the "Arkham Asylum" Novel. So much so that they created Amadeus' image based upon Ron. It is his image, that is still used to day (see the New Arkham Asylum Game).
