This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... she has been called "Britain’s first and most distinguished black textile designer". Her works have been widely publicized. myriad of sourcing, multiple works are owned by Victoria and Albert Museum [1], "Althea's first produced design in 1959, Golden Harvest, was Hull Traders' best-selling line" and her works were "featured in the exhibition RCA Black organised by The Royal College of Art" [2]. Creator has barely had time to work on the article, absolute nonsense that this was even nominated before a REASONABLE creation period has lapsed. SusunW ( talk) 15:44, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it does assert notability. Whether it's notable or not should be handled at AfD, not by fiat. -- Adam Cuerden ( talk) 19:34, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
