Did you know... that until the opening of Altay railway station(pictured) in June 2017, no railway services were provided to
Altay City, a tourist attraction with rich mineral resources?

Article of sufficient length and newness, copyvio not detected. QPQ indeed not needed. I am sort of in doubt of the hook's interestingness, though, "railway station first railway station in a city" is sort of a normal statement of fact. Any other hook ideas?

Is this ok: "... that after the opening of Altay railway station(pictured) in June 2017, the journey between Altay and Xinjiang's capital,
Ürümqi, is shortened by four hours?" (Same source) Thanks!

Juxlos...this has been sitting here for a while, because I intended to promote it over a month ago only to notice you rejected ALT0, and ALT0 is a substantially better hook than ALT1. Going by the fact everyone else has also passed it over for over a month, and that I've mentioned this to a couple other prepbuilders with general agreement, I'm guessing everyone else is passing it over for similar reasons. Do you reject ALT0 for any reason other than interestingness? Because I think it's by a substantial margin more interesting.

Not really, no. If you think it's better, go ahead.

Nice, thank you. I'll grab it next time an image slot opens up (it's a decent photo and we don't get many images from this part of the world).
