Hello @
old friend, the reason I changed the wording from "property" to "establishment" is because I was trying to avoid the repetition of the former. This is also why I combined the two sentences into one, not realizing I was splicing two separate events together. The word "hotel" is overused in that paragraph. I don't agree with you that "establishment" is not appropriate in reference to a hotel, but I also want to find a compromise that works for both of us. What do you suggest?

I totally agree, it's a tough one. The word "hotel" is used so many times in the paragraph, it definitely shouldn't be used again there. To me, "establishment" just sounds wrong. I'm used to seeing it in connection with smaller businesses, usually bars and restaurants. I also agree, though, that "property" isn't perfect. How about a synonym for hotel, instead? How about the word "hostelry"? I'm truly not sure what the best solution is, because I definitely agree, some word is needed there, I just chose "property" because I see it used a lot in hotel news website articles, and I had used it in the previous paragraph too. Totally open to any ideas you may have, however. :)

I don't have a much better solution than switching between the words "hotel", "property", and "establishment" (I really think it only sounds discordant to you, as it sounds fine to my ears).
