My understanding is that willow symbolizes not just grief but the end of love or even false love (being jilted, etc.) as suggested in some references. The idea is that a willow branch is so pliable you can't lean (depend) on it. What say you? -- Monado 23:18, 14 June 2024 UTC [ refresh
I've reformed the page to be a bit more like what I had envisioned for the use of this boilerplate. That doesn't mean it's finished, though :). Anyway, some comments:
