My understanding is that the proper full name for the Algerian Navy is Navy of the Republic of Algeria (or Marine de la Republique Algerienne). Just proposing that the page be moved to an article under that heading. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jonathon A H ( talk • contribs) 21:57, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
The result of the move request was moved. Wizardman 00:33, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
Navy of the Republic of Algeria → Algerian National Navy — A user boldly moved this article from "Algerian National Navy" using the reasoning that "Navy of the Republic of Algeria" is more close to the navy's official French-language name of Marine de la Republique Algerienne. A quick Google search revealed that "Algerian National Navy" would appear to be the more common name, having about 74,000 hits vs. the current name's 7 (although, undoubtedly, the results for the former included Wikipedia and mirrors). Rather than just move it back, I thought it might be best to broaden the discussion, hence this requested move. (My personal interest in the name is that the categories for the navy and its ships use the "Algerian National Navy" name; changing them through CFD to reflect a new, consensus name is a relatively minor matter.) — Bellhalla ( talk) 13:32, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Wikipedia's naming conventions. There's not a lot of point going on about what we call it in English, French, or Italian. What's the language of Algeria (assume Arabic) and what do they call it in Arabic? Can we get somebody from the Arabic-language Embassy to take a quick look in the Arab internet space and see what the commonly used name in Algeria in Arabic is? Needs to go. It's so over the top it almost seems satirical. 165.134.208.176 ( talk) 04:20, 30 January 2012 (UTC)
This article is nonsense. The history of Algerian seafaring is a history of organized piracy, slavery, and hostage-taking. See Bombardment of Algiers (1816) or Bombardment of Algiers (1784). As the above commenter stated, "it almost seems satirical." 68.5.46.91 ( talk) 10:09, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
Prose has been refreshed and references improved. Equipment table has been cleaned up with images added. Added to WP:SHIPS and assessed at class B. Josh ( talk) 01:31, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
Frigates of Koni-Class were not overhauled and modernized at Kronstadt but at the Severnaja Werf (shipyard) in St. Petersburg. If someone will correct this please... (should be confirmed easy, if the author will check the news in a good journalistic manner...) For the second ack: I saw it with my own eyes laying in the facility in St. Petersburg ;-) — Preceding unsigned comment added by RLuplow ( talk • contribs) 08:01, 22 July 2013 (UTC)

i've not find anything that confirm the delivery of this ships
I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Algerian National Navy's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
