I have broken up the article into sections, as a lot of new material was added. Most of what I have added is biographical, and is derived from Cunningham's The Ancient Geography of India (ref provided). I have also added a few lines about his participation in the now-controversial border de-limitation in Ladakh and Kashmir, as he led two commissions there.
