I suppose the "Governor of Virginia" mentioned in the biographical section as an ancestor of Ritchie's mother Elizabeth Caskie Cabell was
William H. Cabell (1772–1853), but I'm not sure that's what was meant, and I'm totally unable to verify it in any case. If anyone genealogically inclined can give a
reliable source for that tidbit, it would be appreciated.
In fact, I'd be interested in seeing a whole article on the
Cabell family of Virginia; I'll go add it to
WP:RA right now. --
