I created this page to replace the original Albany College of Pharmacy page. The name of the school was changed, so the name of the page should follow suit. Caramesc ( talk) 04:26, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
One inmportant thing that should be noted on this page is that, "A Phi Delta Chi is a hell of a man."
In all seriousness, Phi Delta Chi has been so integral & important to this school, that they should be mentioned. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.226.78.94 ( talk) 03:18, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS) is a private, independent college with campuses in Albany, New York and Colchester, Vermont.
ACPHS is home to approximately 1,400 students [1] and 130 full-and-part time faculty. [2] In addition to the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.), the College offers five Bachelor’s programs and five Master’s programs. [3]
Along with Albany Medical College, Albany Law School, the Dudley Observatory and Union College, it is one of the constituent entities of Union University.
According to the 2016 College Scorecard, the median salary of ACPHS students ten years after entering school is $118,800, the third highest figure among the 4,006 schools that make up the College Scorecard database. [4] ACPHS was ranked the #1 Value-Added School in the country in a 2015 report by the Brookings Institution. [5]
On June 12, 1881, Albany College of Pharmacy, the nation’s 14th oldest pharmacy program was founded when Dr. E.N. Potter, then President of Union University, approved the project at Union University’s annual board meeting. During its inaugural academic year, Albany College of Pharmacy was home to 21 students and three professors.
The Pharmaceutical Research Institute (PRI) at Albany College of Pharmacy was founded in 2002. The center for drug discovery and development is located in Rensselaer, NY, and is led by Vice Provost for Research Shaker A. Mousa. [6]
On October 12, 2008, Albany College of Pharmacy changed its name to Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences [7] to reflect its expanding range of academic programs. In August 2009, the College opened a campus in Colchester, Vermont. It is the only pharmacy program in the state. [8]
In March 2016, ACPHS opened its first “student operated pharmacy” when College Hometown Pharmacy began operations in the Hometown Health Centers clinic located in Schenectady, NY. [9] In January 2017, ACPHS opened its second student operated pharmacy in Albany, NY's South End (less than two miles from the campus). [10] Students in both pharmacies help manage all aspects of the business – from inventory to patient care – working under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist.

It is located in the University Heights section of Albany, a higher education cluster that includes Albany Law School, Albany Medical College, The Sage Colleges ( Sage College of Albany), as well as some of the region’s top hospitals like Albany Medical Center, St. Peter's Hospital, and the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center. The Albany campus is composed of eight buildings: Francis J. O’Brien Building, Gozzo Student Center, Albert M. White Gymnasium, Library Building, Biosciences Research Building, Holland Building, Notre Dame Hall, and South Hall (the latter three buildings are residence halls). [11] The Lewis Library completed a $3 million renovation project in 2010 that greatly expanded the library's size and scope, offering more study space and services for students. [12] A new $2.5 million athletics track and field was built in 2012. [13]
