IMDb uses -ton primarily; apparently most of his credits have that spelling. Unfortunately his bio page there says nothing about his name. —

Actually I cannot find anywhere that spells his name with an "a". This page should probably be moved to "Alan McNaughton (actor)" to distinguish him from the politician. I will leave this for a few days and when I get the time I will try moving it unless other editors object before then.
