{{geodata-check}}
I'd like to see a check made on the given coordinates, or to know what evidence there is for them. The data given is
The source given in the Jabal Haraz article strongly implies that this place is near to
so either there is a mistake in the coordinates, or perhaps there are two places called Al Hajara, or something else is wrong. I'd be grateful for clarification. SamuelTheGhost ( talk) 17:30, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
I now think the following
What I need is supporting (or otherwise) comment from other editors, but above all relevant sources. SamuelTheGhost ( talk) 16:54, 23 September 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for your response. I am sure you realise that what I wrote above was written before this and this edits by Dr. Blofeld, which he has refused to source or justify, but it was he who added the 16° 11′ 1″N, 43° 42′ 17″E coordinates.
I remain convinced that there is more than one place of this name. The references [1] [2] [3] give coordinates for a place of that name, but no evidence that it's the picturesque location described in the article; indeed [2] does give a picture which seems quite diffferent. And reference [4] completely undermines its own credibility by referring to wikipedia, which may therefore have been its erroneous source. On the other hand [5] tells us that Al-Hajjarah lies 5km west of Manakhah, which I think proves that we have two (or more) different places. SamuelTheGhost ( talk) 14:45, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
And here [6] is another ref that has Al Hajjara within walking distance of Manakha. SamuelTheGhost ( talk) 16:28, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
I think it's all sorted now. Start at Al Hajar (disambiguation). SamuelTheGhost ( talk) 17:21, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
