This article is explaining legal text of the WTO but does not link to any primary sources (the WTO legal text) or include the latest decisions in for the 3 pillars of the agreement. I want to re-write this article to include more information on the legal text, explain the provisions in more detail and provide links to primary resources (which are available online for free). The edits do not contain any value judgements, the information about the legal text should cover more of the legal agreements and be structured in the same way as the legal agreements and subsequent decisions to help those using the page for research information.
Certain additions on this page are now out of date and are no longer accurate. I am happy for an external editor to review any changes made but as stated above, this is a page explaining a legal agreement the organization has created so linking directly to the WTO as a source and providing all additional information from the primary sources (such as legal texts and decisions) for free is vital. At present, the sources listed are 3rd party sources which are not widely available online or free which refer to articles which I am trying to link to directly. The whole point of Wikipedia is to improve the information commons by providing accurate, factual information for free. These edits are legally based and factual. I believe users (especially young people) deserve to have these complex topics summarised correctly with reference to the primary sources.
This page is on the WTO Agreement on Agriculture, its does not make sense that you wont allow the legal text which the page is based on to be included. [1] How can people under stand the administration of WTO Agricultural tariff rate quotas when you do not link to the legal text explaining the concept for free on Wikipedia? it makes no sense [2] There are countless more examples of developments by said organization which are legal in nature and thus not at all biased but factual which link to random 3rd party sources which are 1. either inaccurate or 2. not available for free. Hi/Salut @ GloriaGVA: - I'm not sure if you're still interested in working on this, but I'm happy to help. Perhaps the best way to start is identifying links already within the article which you feel need to be updated/amended. From the standpoint of sourcing, dealing with how to handle the agreement in general and WTO rulings is more complex. We can discuss and then determine how to proceed. This could take some time, so best to work methodically. Regards, -- Goldsztajn ( talk) 13:25, 19 June 2022 (UTC)
