It has been proposed, by an anonymous editor, that Agathon Carl Theodor Fabergé be merged into this page. I was not the proposer, but I believe I can explain the reasoning. The article under this title was originally about the person now described at Agathon Carl Theodor Fabergé, the son of Peter Carl Faberge. It was effectively hijacked about 6 months ago to become an article about the current person, the son of Gustav Peter Faberge, reverted, (cut'n'paste) moved to Agathon Carl Theodor Fabergé, then edited back to approximately its current state. I made a request for the histories of the two articles to be corrected to contain the correct attribution for edits in each article, and this has just been completed. Hopefully, that potted history helps people to understand the convoluted path to where we are today.
Note that the two articles are about two different people. Any merge would essentially be to roll back to before the title hijack, where this article was about the son of Peter Carl Faberge and there was no article about the son of Gustav Peter Faberge. The article was hijacked again. I restored an old revision and added a hatnote to hopefully prevent that happening again. 85.156.64.153 ( talk) 18:53, 13 August 2020 (UTC)
