Did/do they operated the R-11 Zemlya (SS-1b Scud-A) or R-17 Elbrus (SS-1c Scud-B)? The current listing (shown below) is misleading as it could be interpreted as being either one and is not cited.
Model | Image | Origin | Type | Number | Details |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
R-11 ScudB |
|
SRBM | 43 were delivered from USSR. Only 4 survived by 2005. |
Particularly if someone has a reference for this, it would be appreciated. Thanks! Josh ( talk) 21:20, 11 May 2021 (UTC)

What is the current situation of the Afghan National Army after the fall of Kabul? Last thing I read is that the remaining soldiers abandoned their posts after the escape of President Ashraf Ghani and that therefore the ANA is no longer functional.- Karma1998 ( talk) — Preceding undated comment added 11:28, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
I would like to move this article back to Afghan Army, as the Afghan *National* Army of the U.S. intervention no longer exists. Any comments? Any problems if I start a WP:RM? Buckshot06 (talk) 06:50, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
@ ElderZamzam:, 2 of 90 edits you've made since joining WP resulted in the removal of 20Kb of sourced content from this article. I suggest you find a way to restore much it (in more organized manner). Cleaning up a page and gutting it of relevant, supported content are not the same thing. - wolf 16:59, 21 August 2021 (UTC)

The purpose of this page is to show the army of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan which was the Afghan National Army. There is already a page for the current military of afghanistan, it makes no sense that there is going to be a second page.

I believe there should be an article about the Afghan National Army that existed in 2001-2021, just like there is an article on the south vietnamese army (ARVN): Army of the Republic of Vietnam 45.239.136.238 ( talk) 03:42, 12 August 2022 (UTC)
Mohammed Fahim Azimi became the commander of jalalabad in 2004 and completed his training of 2 years and was commander till 2011. Buckshot06 (talk) 11:27, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
Majority of the Afghan national army sub section should be moved to History of the Afghan Armed Forces (2002–2021) Wide1r3 ( talk) 10:55, 11 May 2023 (UTC)
