Difference between ImageReady and Photoshop?

I'm a little unclear about the difference between ImageReady and Photoshop. What tasks would one or the other be better for? What capabilities does one have that the other doesn't? User:172.146.169.213

ImageReady's most popular features have been integrated into Photoshop CS3. As the two applications became more and more alike, there became less reason for them to be separate applications - in doing so there are many advantages to the user (and to remaining in one app.).

Why on earth is this article written in the past tense? This isn't a shopping catalog -- it's an encyclopedia and the software still exists. ptkfgs 01:54, 4 July 2007 (UTC) reply

I found that rather confusing too. -- pred 18:50, 9 July 2007 (UTC) reply
