Acheron vs. Styx (mythology) .... I see references to both vis a vis where Charon plied his trade. Can someone provide evidence one way or the other (Wikipedia itself seems in conflict). dml 03:08, 8 May 2004 (UTC)
I've taken something of an interest in this subject ;) and I've seen referneces to both as well, but I tend to see more reliable sources saying Charon was on the Acheron.. first example I know of offhand is http://www.pantheon.org/articles/a/acheron.html -- it's possible the myths themselves were in disagreement. (I now see someone pointed in the same direction at Talk:Charon (mythology) several months ago... so, feel free to ignore me. :) ) Acheron 17:59, 8 Sep 2004 (UTC)
This main page has very little information on the Greek Acheron, and a list of references. The disambiguation page has no information on the Greek Acheron (of course!) and a list of references. Shouldn't there be a difference? Perhaps the 'other meanings' should be merged into the disambiguation page until more information is entered. I know alternate uses are common but usually they're limited to articles with more content.

As I am aware all the dead were sent there and so it is not merely a place of punishment. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.245.185.174 ( talk) 16:44, 27 August 2009 (UTC) In Albanian harron means forget. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.250.39.163 ( talk) 02:33, 19 December 2011 (UTC)

There seems to be an astronomical object called the Acheron Stream. Perhaps interesting to add something about the astronomical Acheron Stream in this article? DannyCaes ( talk) 10:11, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
