I removed the tag, because it was obviously put there wrongly. Saying that banning abortion only makes it more dangerous to the mother, not lessens the incidence of abortions is a well evidenced statement, and the article backs up the statement comprehensively with sufficient citations of said evidence in the article. I would not be suprised if the weasel words tag was inserted by an anti-abortionist in a typically weaselly attempt to muddy the waters and wrongly discredit the article. 178.167.254.75 ( talk) 11:54, 9 February 2015 (UTC)

The lead section of this article had vague and outdated information. My group is updating the lead section to include more accurate and recent statistics as well as to be more concise. Graceland2 ( talk) 16:13, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
This section was lacking recent statistics, and has now been updated to include these. We also found that the language in this article is specific to women, but not all people who receive abortions are women, so we updated it to be more gender neutral. We also edited the wording and grammar of this section to be more easily accessible. Graceland2 ( talk) 16:54, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
The law section included a very brief overview of the law regarding abortion in the Dominican Republic. My group found a lot of information regarding the law and its impacts, so we are adding this information in order to provide a broader picture of abortion laws in the Dominican Republic and how these laws impact the population.
