The result of the move request was: moved. ( non-admin closure) — Newslinger talk 23:02, 13 July 2019 (UTC)
Untitled A Quiet Place sequel → A Quiet Place 2 – Per WP:CONCISE, unnecessarily wordy compared to writing "A Quiet Place 2" like reliable sources say. Google News shows as "highly cited" the ComingSoon.net article titled "A Quiet Place 2 Sneaks Into Production". Furthermore, the current wordier title presumes by default that the sequel's title will be something other than A Quiet Place 2. This presumption may apply for some franchises, but here, we have no idea what the titling goal will be. Let's apply the KISS principle here. A Quiet Place 2 → A Quiet Place: Part II – A little while ago, Krasinski announced the filming of the sequel with the subtitle "Part II" in a Twitter post. There have been a couple of attempted changes to the article title to use this, but I reverted it as unofficial. Now it appears that three very reliable sources all write "A Quiet Place: Part II", so I am requesting a move:

Deadline Hollywood calls the film A Quiet Place Part II here, so there may be uncertainty about whether or not a colon belongs in the title. Erik ( talk | contrib) ( ping me) 18:23, 12 August 2019 (UTC)
Now Variety says here that it is a "still-untitled movie". Erik ( talk | contrib) ( ping me) 18:45, 13 August 2019 (UTC)
To update on this front, the teaser trailer gives the title A Quiet Place with the subtitle Part II. Per MOS:TITLEPUNCT, Where subtitle punctuation is unclear (e.g. because the subtitle is given on a separate line on the cover or a poster), use a colon and a space, not a dash, comma, or other punctuation, to separate the title elements." Since the colon has been used in reliable sources, we can lock in A Quiet Place: Part II as the article title. Erik ( talk | contrib) ( ping me) 17:39, 17 December 2019 (UTC)

A Quiet Place: Part II → A Quiet Place Part II – Should the article title exclude the colon? Both the teaser trailer and the poster show "Part II" as distinct from "A Quiet Place". Per MOS:TITLEPUNCT, "Where subtitle punctuation is unclear (e.g. because the subtitle is given on a separate line on the cover or a poster), use a colon and a space, not a dash, comma, or other punctuation, to separate the title elements." Paramount Pictures's YouTube page here shows "A Quiet Place Part II" in its post of the trailer. Is this sufficient, or is social-media posting too premature to rely on? A Quiet Place: Part II → A Quiet Place Part II – The official trailer, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and website all have the title without the colon. Many other movies do this.
