I read that you can use the acronym in the page title if that is the usual name, at Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Abbreviations#Acronyms_in_page_titles. I think that the acronym ASDAN is the usual name. To me, this page from the ASDAN website [1] (section "What does ASDAN stand for?") seems to suggest that the expanded name is deprecated. -- Bradshaws1 ( talk) 00:19, 11 December 2013 (UTC)
The result of the move request was: Not moved. I'm not sure what the nominator is getting at here, and neither is the !voter. I invite Robforrest to rethink about where they want to move this page, because they rebutted their own move proposal in their nomination statement. ( non-admin closure). Award Scheme Development and Accreditation Network → ASDAN – The acronym is no longer in common use by staff or customers. Robforrest ( talk) 14:07, 26 October 2016 (UTC)
The result of the move request was: Moved without opposition. Note that this undoes a 2013 move to the longer title. ( non-admin closure) — Andy W. ( talk) 21:32, 10 November 2016 (UTC)
Award Scheme Development and Accreditation Network → ASDAN – The organisation that this page refers to was once called by the expanded acronym, i.e. Award Scheme Development and Accreditation Network. This is no longer the case and instead the organisation is known solely by the title 'ASDAN'. In otherwords, ASDAN is no longer an acronym but a name in and of itself. Evidence of this would be would be on the FAQ page ( https://www.asdan.org.uk/about/faqs) there is a question entitled "What does ASDAN stand for?" Robforrest ( talk) 11:08, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
As a current employee of ASDAN I'd like to confirm that the justification for this rename request is 100% correct. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.175.246.114 ( talk) 11:37, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
