The structure shown is N,N-ditetradecyl, not N,N-dimyristyl (which would have an O attached to the carbons adjacent to the N atom).

No, that's the difference between myristyl and myristoyl/myristic. Myristyl is the trivial name/synonym for 1-tetradecyl (and as such, is a more precise designation than simply "tetradecyl", which could mean any of the dozens of possible isomeric C14 chains), c.f. also myristyl alcohol.
