Don't know whether important enough to add—or add after his decease?—in which case use the below as desired.
Just seen yesterday:
The (modern) burial stone of the subject, inscribed "ANDERSON HUNTER DUPREE / HISTORIAN OF AMERICAN SCIENCE / BIOGRAPHER OF ASA GRAY," but so far without dates, not even birth date, is located just feet from the stone of the famous subject of his 1988 study, Asa Gray, on Holly Path in historic Mount Auburn Cemetery, located mostly in Watertown, with a small part in Cambridge, Mass.—surely an unusual privilege for a modern person in that 1831 cemetery, which bills itself as one of the first landscaped places open to the public in the U.S. The stone is additionally inscribed with the name of his spouse, "MARGUERITE LOUISE ARNOLD (BETTY) DUPREE / WIFE, MOTHER, ARTIST, AND CALLIGRAPHER," and dates 5/21/1918–5/27/2014. Her inscription is above his on the stone. (Wonder why permitted? Was their relative relevance to Gray not a criterion for the contents of the stone?)
