Well, technical issues regarding "Aš" seem to have been solved at Wikipedia. The town's official website (www.muas.cz) in English calls it "Municipality of As" [1], and "Městský úřad Aš" [2] in Czech. One wonders why not its official English name, As, is used here? Or Ash, how the Czech name would be pronounced? Or Asch, as the traditional name before 1918/1945? Before 1920, only Czech POV knew +Aš +Bohemia date:0-1920, while already hundred years earlier +Asch +Bohemia date:0-1820 was known by the international public. --  Matthead   DisOuß   15:07, 8 January 2008 (UTC) reply

something is wrong with the historical data, my mother, Johanna Rupprecht at the time, lived in Ashe from 1930-45 and when she went to school, just about all her classmates but one were Catholics this article says 100% Lutherans at the time. Jiohdi ( talk) 17:21, 12 January 2009 (UTC) reply
