The abbrevation "BC" stands for "Before Christ" which is meaningless to non-Christians. The abbreviation "BCE" is meant to avoid Christian bias, standing for the more secular phrase "Before the Common Era". If Wikipedia wishes to remain impartial, it must choose "BCE" over "BC", and "CE" (Common Era) over "AD" (Anno Domini; Year of Our Lord). -- Glengordon01 06:45, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
Does anyone know who this person is? The name looks very modern to me, particularly the 'maria' bit, I have never heard of them, and googling only produces modern people. I would be rather suspicious about this information unless someone could come up with a source. 122.61.157.138 ( talk) —Preceding undated comment added 03:05, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
