3 Commando Brigade Air Squadron co-existed (in time) with 847 Naval Air Squadron from 1968 until 1995 [1], which makes this page a bit awkward to try and edit. For example, 3CBAS had the entire Squadron in the Falkands (9 Gazelle and 6 Scout) [ [2]] but this article only mentions 847 Naval Air Squadron operating 24 Westland Wessex. This is perhaps understandable because, at the time, 3CBAS was a completely separate unit. Would it not be better to create a separate article for 3 Commando Brigade Air Squadron? -- Bye for now ( talk) 14:23, 23 September 2014 (UTC)
You could also use the photographs there in other, relevant articles. Other possibilities include merging the article with the 3 Commando Brigade article or, adding a brief mention and link to it, in the History section of the Royal Marines article; as well as the 3 Commando Brigade and History of the Royal Marines articles. You could also do that in the Commando Helicopter Force article. Dreddmoto ( talk) 14:25, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
The article mentions nothing of the squadron's involvement in the early stages of operation Telic as described by Lieutenant Commander James Newton DFC in his book 'Armed Action' Headline Publishing Group , 2007 ISBN 978 0 7553 1601 4.
