Added a citation from Allen and put – into date ranges, added a collapsible frame for the oob. Revert as desired. Will scan the OH for more Burma details.

Thanks for the additions and ce. Any chance you can elaborate on this bit though: "and the end of the division's availability for operations at Ramree Island"
Also, I note you have added in that division was responsible for repressing the population during the Quit India hoo har. Does your state if this was peaceful, of if there was violent incidents?

Don't blame you, that's what I did. Your timely reminder succeeded and I've gleaned a few details from Kirby III. Vol IV next. Regards

From what I can see on Google Books, which has a very poor snippet view of the OH, on page 353 it states "In order to deal with any threat to the division's line of communication from the direction of the Taung Bazar area, he placed 23rd Brigade and i6oth Field Regiment of 7oth British Division, then at Chittagong, under Lomax's command". So, very little context. I have seen mention elsewhere of the bazaar, is this the deployment to Arakan?

Noticed the peer review so did a typo and spell check. Is it General officer Commanding or General Officer Commanding for the header? Regards
