The building changed ownership in 2020 and is no longer known as PNC Plaza but as 500 West Jefferson or 500W.

Move PNC Plaza to 500W
The following is a closed discussion of a
requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a
move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
Oppose. Reads like the title is about 500
watts.

For clarity, I mean I oppose a move to
500W. I am neutral on any other move at this time.

The title of the building is 500w-- there's a registered website, it's not about if you like the name it's incorrect information

Support name change but undecided on the exact name. From what I see in both the articles, it is either referred to as "500 West Jefferson" or "500 W Jefferson" or "500 West" (this one from ref 6 of article) but none call it "500W". Sources exist for the name change and it is also the
WP:COMMONNAME now judging by existing sources on the article. Obviously it is clear that name has changed but various aliases have come up following the name change and we need to choose one from them. —CX Zoom[he/him](

If 500W is not possible, can we do 500 West instead?

Rliu5875, at
Wikipedia talk:Requested moves you wrote, "We want to make sure tenants are not confused when they search up the name" regarding this change. If you are suggesting this move as part of your job, please see
WP:PAYDISCLOSE and take a look at
Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. In the case of this request, it is necessary to show that the new title is the
common name used to refer to the topic in most reliable sources, not just an official name. Therefore the relative prevalence of the suggested title is important.

Hello, I do believe the common name for the building is 500W or 500 West, as most, if not all, articles are using 500W instead of PNC Plaza whenever they update on the construction process.
Rliu5875 (

Oppose if it is renamed it should use
500 West Jefferson, since "500W" is opaque and has several common meanings --

Disambiguate: Disambiguation is probably needed, since the hatnote shows there are two other places that may be referred to as "PNC Plaza" (
Tower at PNC Plaza in Pittsburgh and
PNC Plaza (Raleigh)). Independent reliable sources should be cited to justify a new name, or it could be moved to "
PNC Plaza (Louisville)". The WDRB source linked above says it is "now called
500 West Jefferson". In several places it refers to "
500 W Jefferson". The WDRB source does not use "
500W" at all. The only place it uses "
500 West" is in a quote from an owner-promoter. There is a paywall blocking the bizjournals.com article, so I don't know exactly what it says. The title shown on
the building's official website is "
500 West Jefferson Street, Louisville, Kentucky" (although there are a couple of places on that website that use "500W"). —

There are multiple sources in the citations that use the 500W title, including the building's website itself.

Sorry, but I'll give you only one out of four for those. The first one is not independent – I asked for independent reliable sources. The third one is also not independent – it is a commercial listing, and it also has a space before the "W". The fourth one is also not independent – again, it is a commercial listing advertisement, and it does not call the place "500W"! It refers to it as "500 W Jefferson St, Louisville, KY 40202"; that's just the street address, complete with the Zip code. —

The official name is 500 West Jefferson, but other articles call the name 500W as linked above, so I would believe this would be the common name.

This is just another article. It is evident that PNC Plaza is no longer the name of the building, with numerous sources backing this up from the actual website to different news outlets. It is confusing when most other sources have 500W or 500 West Jefferson and it stays PNC Plaza on Wikipedia.
