I remember reading something a high-ranking member of the Junta (though I can't remember who it was) saying something along the lines of "If we hadn't come into power, the fascists would have taken over" which is likely a reference to the 4th of August Party since it is a fact that anti-4th of August Party Junta officials regarded the party as "fascistic" (as noted in the article) and that the 4th of August Party had mass appeal at the time of the coup. Has anyone else heard of this statement? If someone can provide an exact quote and a source for it, it would be a great addition to the article's section on the party's relations with the Junta -- especially since the political oppression of nationalists by the Junta is a very obscure topic. Since, traditionally, people have claimed that the Junta's declared primary reason for the coup was the threat of communism, it is very interesting that the Junta (or at least parts of it) viewed radical nationalism as much of a threat as communism. I don't know how much of a factor the 4th of August Party (and/or other revolutionary nationalist groups) were as a pretext for the coup, but it is an intriguing subject to research. Vaggelis Haniotis and www.e-grammes.gr are self-published sources of the far-right wing. They cannot be considered reliable sources.-- Dipa1965 ( talk) 12:27, 8 September 2021 (UTC)
Deji Olajide1999, lets' talk on the content then, although these sources are so far from being called independed (I think this is quite important for articles on political parties). Even in the case one would not be able to read these Greek-speaking "sources", he could not miss here in this article:
The Greek article on party leader, Κωνσταντίνος Πλεύρης has a good deal of referenced information on "4th July" activity before 1974.-- Dipa1965 ( talk) 20:37, 9 September 2021 (UTC)
